Calculation of articleship period

First let us go throough the ICAI rules and then come to your point.

There is a rule that no transfer request will be accepted within 6 months and last year of articleship.

Coming to the point now, your articleship peiod would extend for the period of delay you made to join with your new employer from the date of transfer & as per ICAI rules, you will get to attempt your CA Fianl attempt only after completing 2.5 years of articleship (cumulatively, excluding the no. of days when you were not registered anywhere for your articleship), i.e. in last 6 months of your articleship training.

For Eg: if your articleship end on 30.9.2015, this means you can attempt CA Final exams for May 2016. Hope this would clear your doubt.
