Ca final may 14 - amendments/course applicability ?

Good to see a plethora of questions asked in a single thread. It is better ask question and be safe rather not asking and being sorry.

Q) DT- will DTC be applicable in may 14 ? and will the course change for may 14 ?  
A) No, DTC will not be applicable and Finance Act 2013 will apply for May 2014 Examination.

Q) IDt - New revised course has already been released by icai but it is applicable for nov 2014 attempt, so for may 2014 finance act 2013 will be applicable right ?

Q) accounts - IFRS , indian as applicablility for MAy 14 ?

A) Check ICAI’s List of Publications – applicable for May 2014

Q) LAw - Companies bill have been passed .. what is the likely change for may 14 ?

Q) audit - Any changes expected in audit ?

Q) can i buy books  for accounts , Audit  now ?

Q) What about law should i wait ?

A) Wait till ICAI issues Clarification.

Q) for Dt and IDt i am planning to study from modules right now and then in dec 13 when updated books comes out i will buy those ..

SIr For IDT and Dt by mistake i wrote module ..

i meant to say study mat..

i have the study mat published in january 2013 i.e for may 2013 and nov 2013 syllabus.. 

so sir i m thinking of studying it from that and making changes in sections manually as given in finance act 2013 ( pdf ).. first reading till december until updated t.n manohran is out..

and then second reading and practice from that

i hope this pans out well 

even though may 14 attempt might not cover updated law , idt , isca .. nov 2014 is definately going to and will also be reading about that just in case as a backup otherwise the burden will be hugeeee from may 14 to nov 14 syllabus change if done at the last moment..  it will also help in interviews

Is there any changes in Accounts,SFM,as for accounting Standards i have DS Rawat 20th Edition2012 book.

For Audit i have Surbhi Bansal 5th Edition 2011

please suggest me soon
