Dear Member,
I want to know about the cretria for determining the basic salary for EPF. Is there any requirement like basic should be at least 40% or 50% of total salary ?
it is urgent.

As such there is no crieterion for Max amount, but monimum amount should be in line with Minimum wages.

As far as I concern maximum limit of EPF deduction is Rs. 780/- per month which shows that EPF should be deducted @ 12% on basic salary of Rs. 6500/- per month or less.
