hi Below details are extracted from www.incometaxindia.gov.in website Explanation.—In this section, “accountant” means a 49chartered accountant within the meaning of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 (38 of 1949), and includes, in relation to any State, any person who by virtue of the provisions of sub-section (2) of section 22650 of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956), is entitled to be appointed to act as an auditor of companies registered in that State. AS PER THE ABOVE SEC 288 OF IT ACT, dosent say anything about place of accountant In my view a CA can sign audit report of another city (FOR MORE CLARIFICATIONS CHECK SEC 44AB WITH SEC 288 AS PER INCOME TAX ACT 1961

Dear Friend, I am having same opinion as mentioned by AYYAPPASWAMY PVLSK. Yes you can sign an Audit Report of another city in spite of fact that you dnt have any branch over there. Thanks

y not, my boss also have out of station audit we have no branchbut we r doing

yes,i also do thnik in the same way.There is no restriction on auditor to sign the report of outstation client,but there are restrictions on having a branch office in another city.
