Q) Is there any discussion going on that the articled assistants can able to do the articleship in non- auditing firms like reliance, wipro, etc.

no it is not but non-auditing firms have taxation & consultancy work then it can be done

Dear Saurav ! As per the rules and regulations of ICAI only eligible Chartered Accountants are permitted to train 'articled assistants' . Hence non auditing firms can't undertake that job...!!

but recently only i have seen the statement in the well-known newspaper that the proposal have been sent to the institute & the discussions are going on relating to that ?
