Other than heavy Rs 3150

new increased rates have been applied from A.Y 2011-2012

hence for A.Y 2010-2011 rates are:-

3500 per month for heavy vehicles

3150 per month for other than heavy vehicle

I think you should use the new rates even if it is not applicable for that a/y bcoz ICAI cnt cut ur marks on account of givin the provision which is latest.

but dnt try to b ovr smart while attempting d paper.... for nov 2010 exams relevent AY is 2010-11 so ans accordingly...dnt try to give such ans which anoy the examiner....so the ans is 3500 & 3150....any other ans will amount to a nill marking...

3150 per month for other than heavy vehiclE

FOR THE ASST.YEAR 2010 - 2011 THE RATES APPLICABLE :

3,500/- FOR HEAVY VEHICLES (PER MONTH PER VEHICLE)

3,150/-  FOR OTHER THAN HEAVY VEHICLES (PER MONTH PER VEHICLE)

3500 for heavy vehicle and 3150 for light vehicle

A.Y. 2010-11 IS APPLICABLE SO YOU SHOULD NOT CONSIDER ANY AMENDMENTS MADE FROM A.Y. 2011-12

SO, 3500 AND 3150 IS THE ANSWER

You can write both becoz that will give a good impression to the examiner....
