24 July 2011Income tax Department website stress on verifying available tax credits in 26AS before claiming the same in IT return to avoid TDS mismatch. In case of a mismatch what's the option with the assessee. 31st July 2011 is nearby. So should he delay his return or file his return with TDS credits available on Form 16A.

Claim TDS as per 26AS and file return timely. and contact to Form 16A issuer and correct it. if more tds deducted then revise return.

I think you can claim credit of TDS which is actually deducted by the deductor and claim it in your return and in the mean time ask the issuer of Form 16A to revise their TDS Return for that Quarter.
