sir, i just want to know that with indexation my tax liability is Rs. 55590/- and without indexation my tax liability is RS. 25275/- CAN I OPT FOR WITHOUT INDEXATION ? PLZ RPLY

A building having 4 floor, was given back to builder for reconstruction of 9 floor building. possesion is given to builder for the same. builder is alotting flats after new flats will be ready of same size to members ,from whom the flats are taken. along with them builder is giving over and above the same Rs 10 lacs to each flat holder.now my question is howe to deal with this 10 lacs. whether they will be treated as capital gain or else???pls suggest consequences along with reference to relevent case laws.... thanks Rajat Porwal
