23 October 2013 Can anyone tell me that the DIRECTOR's INCOME TAX RETURN filing is mandatory.
or if it is mandatory then please tell we where it is mentioned.
I mean in any circular or any notification.

23 October 2013 ofcourse it is mandatory to file income tax return for any assesse who is having their income more than basic exemption before claiming deductions under chapter VIA

but i wanted to know that the director income tax return fall in any special case where the income tax return is mandatory.

23 October 2013 If director is in employee relationship with the company and company deducted tds under 192 his income is chargeable under head salaries ,,if 194J is deducted chargeable under professional services

there is no special provisions for directors in assessment of income in income tax act
