E-Aadhaar is a password-protected PDF copy of your Aadhaar card, digitally signed by the UIDAI, and it holds the same validity as a physical Aadhaar card.
You can download your Aadhaar by visiting the UIDAI website, navigating to the 'My Aadhaar' tab, clicking 'Download Aadhaar', entering your Aadhaar number or Enrolment ID, completing the captcha, requesting an OTP, entering the OTP, and then downloading the password-protected PDF.
You will need your 12-digit Aadhaar Number, your 14-digit Enrolment ID (ENO) with a Date-Time stamp, or your 16-digit Virtual ID Number.
Masked Aadhaar is an option that allows you to hide the first 8 digits of your 12-digit Aadhaar number in the downloaded copy, displaying only the last four digits.
The e-Aadhaar PDF is password-protected. The password is a combination of the first four capital letters of your name as it appears on your Aadhaar card and your Year of Birth in YYYY format (e.g., MOHA1987 for Mohan born in 1987).
