Broad Steps to complete the Chartered Accountancy course

(i)  Enroll with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) after passing class 10. Thereafter, take the CPT examination, after appearing for the class 12 exams. After passing CPT and class 12 examination, join Professional Competency Course (PCC), articled training and register for 100 hours of Information Technology Training (ITT).

(ii)  Undergo 100 hours of ITT on completion of three months of articled training and appear in Professional Competence Examination (PCE) subject to fulfillment of certain conditions.

(iii)  After passing PCE, register for the final course and complete the articled training of three and half years. Further, you may also undergo General Management and Communication Skills Course (GMCS) while undergoing the final course.

(iv)  The exams for the final course are conducted twice every year in May and November.

(v)  Pass final examination and complete GMCS.

(vi)  Enroll for membership of the institute.
