Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants from Gurugram have submitted a memorandum against the Commissioner of CGST, Sector 32, Gurugram.

The incident of wrongful restraint and confinement occurred on the evening of May 19th, 2022.
They were present for a peaceful discussion with the CGST Commissioner to raise grievances about officials allegedly falsely implicating CAs and harassing them.
The Chartered Accountants were detained within the CGST department premises for approximately 4 to 5 hours.
They are requesting appropriate legal action against all involved CGST officials, including the Commissioner, and protection against further illegal actions. They also suggest an independent CBI inquiry into alleged corrupt practices within the department.
