How to Download the Utility
Taxpayers can download the latest offline utility directly from the official Income Tax Department's Downloads - Income Tax Returns page. The site clearly lists:
- Common Offline Utility (ITR-1 to ITR-4) with ZIP downloads for Windows and Mac.
- Separate utilities for ITR-5, ITR-6 and ITR-7 forms. Each version lists its current release date and file size, and utility updates are regularly published to align with the latest tax year and system requirements.
