The Income Tax Department has released Excel-based offline utilities for ITR-2 and ITR-3 for the Assessment Year 2025-26.
These utilities are available for download on the official income tax e-filing portal.
ITR-2 is for individuals and HUFs who do not have income from profits and gains of business or profession.
ITR-3 is for individuals and HUFs who have income from profits and gains of business or profession.
The first version of the utility for ITR-2 was released on 11th July 2025, and the first version for ITR-3 was also released on 11th July 2025.
