The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has issued an important advisory urging its members to verify and update their professional and personal contact details maintained in the Institute's records. The move comes ahead of the upcoming election process to ensure seamless communication and voter authentication.
In its advisory dated June 16, 2026, ICSI emphasized that members should ensure the accuracy of their Professional Address, Residential Address, Mobile Number, and E-mail ID registered with the Institute.

The Institute drew attention to Regulation 3 of the Company Secretaries Regulations, 1982, which mandates every member to inform ICSI of any changes in the particulars recorded in the Register of Members within the prescribed timeline. Failure to update such information may lead to discrepancies in official records and could affect election-related communications, voter information, and participation in the voting process.
Unique Mobile Number and Email ID Mandatory
ICSI has also advised members to register a unique mobile number and email ID against their membership records. The Institute cautioned against the use of common contact details by multiple members, as this may create challenges in identity verification, receipt of election-related updates, and access to electronic voting facilities.
The advisory highlights that accurate and exclusive contact information is essential for smooth election administration and secure member authentication during the electoral process.
Members Asked to Complete Updates Before Elections Begin
To avoid any inconvenience during the election cycle, members have been requested to review their records and make necessary corrections well in advance of the commencement of the election process.
Members can update their details through the ICSI's Stimulate Portal. For assistance, they may contact the Directorate of Member Services via email at member@icsi.edu.
The advisory reflects ICSI's efforts to strengthen the integrity of its electoral system while ensuring that all eligible members receive timely communications and can participate effectively in the Institute's democratic processes.
