Announcement for New Scheme of Education and Training
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has formulated the New Scheme of Education and Training in lines with International Education Standards and National Education Policy, 2020 (NEP) after considering the inputs from various stakeholders. The New Scheme of Education and Training has been notified in the Gazette of India on 22nd June, 2023 and will come into effect from 1st July, 2023.

Syllabus, Transition Scheme and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) will be hosted on 1st July, 2023. Paper wise exemption plan will be announced in due course.

The New Scheme of Education and Training officially comes into effect from 1st July 2023.
The last date for registration in the Foundation course under the existing scheme is 1st July 2023.
Registration and conversion for the Foundation Course under the New Scheme commences on 2nd August 2023.
The first Foundation Examination under the New Scheme is scheduled for June 2024, and the first Intermediate and Final Examinations are scheduled for May 2024.
The last Foundation Examination under the Existing Scheme is in December 2023, and the last Intermediate and Final Examinations are in November 2023.
The commencement date for the two years of uninterrupted Practical Training under the new scheme is 1st July 2023.
