The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has invited applications for the empanelment of members to act as observers at the examination centers for the Chartered Accountants Examinations, May 2025. This initiative ensures smooth conduct and integrity of the exams across multiple centers in India and abroad.
Exam Schedule - May 2025
- Final & Intermediate Exams: May 2nd to 14th, 2025 (except May 12th)
- PQC - INTT-AT: May 10th & 13th, 2025
- Foundation Exams: May 15th, 17th, 19th & 21st, 2025
Key Eligibility Criteria
Interested ICAI members must meet the following conditions:
- Age Limit: Should not be over 65 years as of February 20, 2025.
- Membership Duration: Should be on the Register of Members as of November 1, 2022, and continue to be so.
- Conflict of Interest: No close relatives (as defined by ICAI) should be appearing for the CA exams in May 2025.
- No Coaching Engagements: Should not be coaching CA students in any institute, including ICAI branches.
- No Disciplinary Actions: Should not have been convicted or have pending disciplinary cases.
- No ICAI Governance Role: Should not be an elected/co-opted member of the ICAI Council, Regional Council, or Branch Managing Committee.
Honorarium & Responsibilities
Selected observers will receive an honorarium of ₹3,000 per day/session, along with travel reimbursement of ₹350 per day (A-class cities) or ₹250 per day (other cities). Their primary responsibility includes ensuring the secure handling of exam question papers, monitoring exam conduct, and overseeing the submission of answer sheets.
