The GST portal has introduced a significant update for the Financial Year 2023-24, automatically populating eligible Input Tax Credit (ITC) into GSTR-9. This feature, available from 15th October 2024, will draw ITC data for domestic supplies from GSTR-2B and place it in table 8A of GSTR-9. A validation utility is also being rolled out to help taxpayers complete this auto-population process.
