The Income Tax Department has announced that taxpayers can now file updated returns for Assessment Years (AY) 2021-22 and AY 2022-23 using ITR-3 and ITR-4 forms. This facility is aimed at allowing individuals and businesses to rectify any errors, omissions or missed income disclosures in their previously filed returns.
Taxpayers are advised to file their updated returns at the earliest to avoid interest and penalties. The facility is now live on the e-filing portal, and returns can be submitted.
