The virtual Buyer Seller Meet was organised to boost the export potential of India's agricultural and processed food products, specifically focusing on increasing Basmati Rice exports to Azerbaijan.
The event was organised by APEDA in association with the Indian Embassy in Azerbaijan.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, physical export promotion programmes were not possible, leading APEDA to organise the event virtually.
This was the 16th virtual Buyer Seller Meet organised by APEDA with various countries.
APEDA has previously organised virtual Buyer Seller Meets with the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Indonesia, Switzerland, Belgium, Iran, South Africa, Germany, The United States, Canada, Australia, Thailand, and Nepal.
The National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers') Organisations of the Republic of Azerbaijan explained their import requirements and standards for Basmati Rice from India during the meet.
