As per the estimates of GDP for the First Quarter (Q1) of 2020-21 released by the NSO, MoSPI, the real GDP in India contracted by 23.9 per cent during the first quarter of 2020-21 (as against 5.2 per cent growth in Q1 of 2019-20).

41.75 accounts opened under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana

As reported by PSBs [including sponsored Regional Rural Banks (RRBs)] and 14 major Private Sector Banks, as on 27.01.2021, a total number of 41.75 crore accounts have been opened under PMJDY out of which 35.96 crore accounts are operative.
