ICAI has further extended the last date for Waiving-off Condonation Fees due to late filing of various application forms related to Students and Articled Assistants, amidst COVID-19 Pandemic from 30th June 2021 to 31st July 2021.

MCA on June 21, 2021, has issued the Companies (Creation and Maintenance of databank of Independent Directors) Amendment Rules, 2021. Under the new Rules, Rule 3(7)(a) and Rule 3(8) stand amended.

Companies (Meetings of Board and its Powers) Amendment Rules, 2021

Under the new Rules, Rule 4 has been omitted. Accordingly, this deletes the provision related to the restriction of conducting Board Meeting through Video Conferencing/Other Audio-Visual Means for selected agenda items.

CA Exams 2021: ICAI modifies Opt Out Criteria after Supreme Court's Order

Any candidate who personally or whose family member has been affected by COVID-19 and as a result of which, the candidate is unable to appear for the exams, can avail the Opt Out facility. In this case, no RT-PCR Report shall be required.
