NFRA advises to remove compulsory statutory Audit for all companies!

A preliminary analysis has been done by NFRA on the key financial parameters of the companies registered in India and it is found that the fees paid to auditors by a large majority of MSMCs are way below what an audit would require.

CBDT issues order u/s 119(2)(b) for filing applications for settlement before Interim Board for Settlement by 30th September 2021

CBDT has authorized the Commissioner of Income Tax to admit an application for settlement on behalf of the Interim Board filed after 31.01.2021 and before 30.09.2021 and treat such applications as valid and process them as "pending applications".

New online system of MSME/Udyam Registration crosses 50 lakh mark

Enterprises which are not yet registered, should register themselves to avail the benefits of Ministry of MSME and other Government agencies. The registration is free of cost and should be done only on the Government portal.

Quarterly Report on Public Debt Management for the quarter ended June 2021

During Q1 of FY22, the Central Government issued dated securities worth ₹3,18,493 crore as against ₹3,46,000 crore in Q1 of FY21, while repayment were at ₹1,05,186 crore. The weighted average yield of primary issuances increased to 6.11% in Q4 FY21.

Extension of last date of filing Cost Audit Report

The cost auditor can submit the CAR for the F.Y. 2020-21 to the Board of Directors of the companies by 31st October 2021 and it shall not be considered as a violation of rule 6(5).

Government's Borrowing Plan for Second Half (H2) of FY 2021-22

The Government plans to borrow ₹5.03 lakh crore in H2 of FY 2021-22. The H2 FY 2021-22 projection also factors requirements for release of balance amount to states on account of back-to-back loan facility in-lieu of GST compensation during the year.

ICMAI cancels CMA June 2021 Exams and merges with Dec 2021 Exams

The Intermediate and Final Examination of Institute scheduled from 21st to 28th October 2021 stands postponed and the June 2021 Examination stands merged with the Intermediate and Final Examination for December 2021 session.
