Yes, definitely. You can pass CA final by self study and can get rank as well .Main things for self study is planning  and moreover adherence to that. Self study requires time, hardworking, faith in yourself. During self study you need to refer many other books besides Modules for conceptual clarity in practicle subjects.You might need the help of some friends for some topics. Self study will surely increase you analytical ability.

The Question of requirement of coaching classes will arise based on your strength and weakness analysis. 

There are good number of reference books are available in the market which will help to understand the concepts in an easy way.

However, all the subject are are not as easy to handle to all. Some subject may be difficult and weak and require some extrenal help, where as some other subject can be managed on  your own.

Some students may consume more time for problematic papers some others may find it difficult to learn theory based papers...

So choice of self study V/s coaching will be based upon your strength and your weakness....

Like Shravan, Same question arises in my mind also. i never took coaching classes yet. ( i mean here till b.com, ca inter, cs inter).

So i have one issue in my mind. It will be helpful if somebody provides any real example of a rank holder in ca final by self study only. it would certainly boost confidence of students who want to take self study method. It is obvious that self study needs lot of self decipline and hard work etc.

Here is situation where everybody is rushing towards coaching classes. Parents also force to join coachings. I don't know who is responsible for this. Big advertisements by coaching classes or will to pass anyhow at any cost. but its happening.

Pls suggest how to keep once's faith in self study in situation like this. If not forced, i still prefer self study over anything else.

In nut shell, i need a role model now to continue my self study for finals also. Assume me an average student. my attempt will be either may 2014 or afterwards

i think u can achieve anything if u have strong will power towards anything.

for example - u eat food when u feel hunger.

just like this u have to develop hunger only towards your goal and u will definetely motivated towards your goal.

imagine what will be your position when u achieve A.I.R. 1 in ca final examination, everyone will want to talk u even me also & how will your parents feel...that is the golden moments in your life.

just remember your dream u will will turn towards your mission.

u know very well what u have to do to achieve these goals.

and to develop will power u should do regular yog & meditation.
