thanks bhavik nd dashrath sir.

Hi,

Follow these steps, I m sure will help u.

1. Before starting any subject go through the last 5 papers of the same & analyise the same. These will give u the idea abt wat the paper pattern is,which chapters u can ignore considering the time frame available and all that.

2. After step 1 is complete, prepare ur study plan for the said subject. At this point u should be considering which books need to be referred, how much each chapter will take and so on.

3. Try giving some tests for ur self evaluation in some classes or something like that.I think this is required as in before ICAI evaluates u,u should evaluate urself first.(Though i didnt follow this step but i have planned for that)

dont change the books...go with the same along with the practice manuals...in case of amendments get the latest books of the same author...and attempt single group at a time...i'm sure u'll succeed dis time...and yes dont attempt both groups simultaneously.

I think....

you should focus on single group.......

thanks a lot paresh and devendra sir.

ATTEMPT FR SFM AUDIT LAW TOTAL COSTING ISCA DT IDT TOTAL G TOTAL May-11 40 55 27 42 164 44 7 27 27 105 269 11-Nov 28 24 54 41 147 41 34 29 26 130 277 May-12 42 31 39 45 157 28 46 30 49 153 310 Nov-12 51 52 28 39 170 33 34 47 59 173 343 May-13 36 46 27 35 144 46 36 40 37 159 303 consistent Analysis: When you attempted in May 11(presumably your first attempt), you went with a zeal and possible efforts to clear it in that attempt. You prepared for the first group and appeared simultaneously for the second group as well, with a possible hope to clear that group also and complete your studies and become a CA(which is everybody's wish persuing the CA course). But as the reality goes, on the ground level and as per your preparation devoting most of the time on first group and not much on the second group, you could not clear either group in a hope to finish it in one go. Thereafter, in Nov 11 you seemingly started preparing for other subjects, viz., audit and ISCA and not much bothering on other subjects and appeared and the result says all. Then you started focussing on other subject such as IDT, this time not much focussing on other subjects as is apparent from May 12 results. Then you again pulled up and prepared with full energy this time concentrating on certain subjects more, viz., FR, SFM, DT, IDT as is reflected in Nov 12 exams. You flunked. You felt dejected to such level that you appeared in May 13 exams with not much preparation, enthusiasm or zeal and the result says it all. The crux of the whole scenario is: 1 You have improved over the past few attempts gradually but slowly. 2 It seems that you have not been able to concentrate on all the subjects at the same level, probably due to lack of time or laid back attitude or possibly some other reason. 3 Since you have been preparing on your own, which is good, but while preparing on one's own one needs to have self discipline and consistency and a will to perform. 4 What in my opinion you need to do is: Since you have prepared less or more of every subject, it is advisable to continue with the same trend, but you need to understand that you have to devote full time to your studies. You need to prepare a plan(time table) and stick to it. No Procrastination. For taxation subjects: Study the latest case laws For Accounts, SFM and costing Attempt as much problems as possible. Practice gives perfection. For other theory subjects: Read them as often as possible. Novel reading. Don't think of the upcoming exams at this moment. Just start preparation afresh bearing in mind that you know something about each subject and start with fresh zeal and energy. Give god you energy and concentration to complete your studies and best of luck for your next exams.
