i have one doubt about telephone bills. If a Telephone bill is Rs.50,000/- for this shall i deduct TDS or not. whether TDS attract TDS or not . Pls guide me

only if you have entered into a contract with the telephone service provider then tds will be deducted under section 194 C

-TDS will not be deducted.
suhas, one of my client has entered in to a contract with mtnl for telephone and internet services and they are deducting tds under 194c. is this treatment wrong??
