Deduct T.D.S on the rate Higher of the following.. i) Average annual tax rate on salary, or ii) 20 % Therefore, If the amount of receiopt of income from salary is500000/- then tax should be deducted @ 20% and if it is 9000000/- then @ 30%. :-) |

i.e 5lac *20%=Rs.1 lac/12 =8333 is to be deducted from monthly salary.
