DT is one of the most lengthy and technical subjects in CA final syllabus

Also ICAI likes to test your ability and concepts in this subject!!!!

If u have done serious articleship u get some benefit here!!!

The way to go for the subject is :

1. Select a good national level author book… (I preferred Manoharan , u can prefer any according to your likes )

2. It is most important to finish whole syllabus ….ur paper can be from of any of the corner of book !!!

But though focus on

Wealth Tax- 10 marks

Heads of Income ( PGBP , CG and Salary d most imp ones)

MAT, NRI  (very important)

Nd d most important assessment procedure ( a bit technical but costs u 20 marks)

Please Read Supplementary Study Paper, RTP, Recent Case Laws, and if time permits go through Practice manual…(some questions in May 11 exams were based on Practice Manual)

What I would like to say is that just follow Vinod gupta sir notes,be through with the amendments and concentrate on important chapters such as AP,PGBP,CG and do it again and again.But 1 day before the exams just study least important chapters and small chapters such ZCB,Political party.And do seperately chapters like salaries,Hp as it is not found in vinod gupta sir notes.I followed this strategy and got 63 marks in DT
