I want to know that if a company is hiring local transport facility for pick and drop service of employees then whether tds on contract is to be dedcuted , as i saw tds chapter and transport of passenger comes under work and so tds is to be dedcuted, also tds is to be deducted on hiring charges...i have slight confusion...can any one clear this

Of course such a case is covered by Sec 194C & TDS has to be deducted @ 1% or 2% whichever is applicable.
