i think the utility for filung tax returns for Assessment year 2023 -24 is not yet enabled.
i checked on tax portal.
so we cant file the tax returns for AY 23-24 yet.
is it correct ?

Sir,....today it is just 4/4/23.....banks, salary, TRACES, AIS all updates still pending....& U want to file ITR at this stage?
Yes Sir. One huf , which only has bank interest and other share teading activity where there is no tds.
So no need dor 26 as and AIS.
Wanted to finish that job
But u will have to check share trading details in AIS.....AIS will reflect shares....& it is advisable to check AIS ( shares ) & then file?? Am I wrong?

hi all, pls confirm whether online ITR filing thro portal is enabled for ay23-24. iam still unable to select the online or offline mode. Even ,if filing thro offline mode, only json file uploading is enabled not X M L file.

One can down load Form 1 and Form 4 in Excel Sheet from IT web site.
If all TDS entries are seen in 26AS then you can fill Excel sheet off line , validate each sheet , as you were doing two years back and create JSon file and upload and verify.
