Form 26AS shows a credit and tax deduction under ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER OF INCOME TAX

TDS 414 views 4 replies

Hello!!

Just checked in my Form 26AS - there is an item with the following details:

Name of deductor: ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER OF INCOME TAX CENTRALIZED PROCESSING CENTRE BANGALOR

TAN of deductor: BLRA15403D

There is some amount credited and tax deducted on 31st March, 2025. Does anyone know what is this for? Should these details be added as Other Income in ITR?

Thanks in advance

Must be interest paid on refund amount....

Yes, it has to be declared under Other income....

Yes Dhiraj Sir is absolutely right.

It is interest on tax refund and is taxable -to be declared as income in tax refund

Thank you - @ Dhirajlal Rambhia and @ Sushant Bidaye.

You are welcome.
