While validating ITR 2 utility, I'm getting the message " Please select condition for residential status in Schedule Part A General " . However. there is no such option visible.
Anyone else faced such issue ?
Yep. It is buggy as hell.
In addition to the error you face in Part-A, it is asking me to answer "Whether director in company", "held any unlisted shares", "claim benefit u/s 115H" - all all these have been grayed out and cannot be selected or answered. I tried several times. Strangely no one else seems to be posting about it,

IT 2 utility downloaded again. Now ok

Plz enlighten all of us on how you managed to tame the beast.
Do mention Excel Version and Windows version used, as that also might have bearing on the behaviour of the utility.
I noticed that E Filing Portal banner RECOMMENDS using MSExcel 2016. Does not say whether 32bit or 64bit version. The MSWindows right down to MSWindows 7 SP1 is supposed to be ok, as per hidden recommendations in the E Filing Portal.
INFOSYS should clearly mention on the fling portal what software they have used to test the utility before releasing it to the public.
I use windows 11 and latest excel from 365 .
I have not faced any problem so far in filling the form.
Also tax interest calculated fine.
Lets see after I upload it in a week's time.

In your 365, Excel should be minimum 2021.
Let us know the results after you create json and upload it.

Were you able to upload the JSON file on IT site?
Also which version of Excel are you using?
Glad to Announce I have successfully uploaded ITR 2,.Also E verified.
By and large it was a seamless process.
At least I am happy with Income Tax department though wait for the ITR 2 was too much !

So all the ITR-2 filers this year must first get latest state of the art Core 10 or 11 AI Machine running Windows 11 with Microsoft 365.

ITR2 ON LINE AVAILABLE NOW , PROBLE IS IF YOU DONT HAVE SALARY, IT IS ASKING SOME EXAMPTION FOR SALARY SCHEDULE AT VALIDATION, YOU NEED TO GO BACK AT SELECTION OF SCEDULES TO ENSURE SALARY SCHEDULE IS NOT SELECTED, AGAIN COME BACK TO VALIDATION AND VERIFICATION.

Thanks for informing availability of ITR2 Online. For salary exemption, select any option from the pull down menu and put 0 against it. It worked for me.
Zero was already there, I tried that also, any way I already filed, my ? Is when I deselected salary schedule why error pop-up.

Perhaps all of us are to get sarkari salary, which would be nice.
