Tax on interest on arrears of salary
What is the tax treatment on interest received during the previous year 2012-13 on arrears of salary for 7 years on account of settlement of dispute with the employer. Is any relief available?

As far as my personal experience is concerned that you will get no relief on interest income and is your income during 2012-13.
