studying IDT: Help needed

Final 711 views 3 replies

Dear Seniors,

I am approaching IDT on self study basis. Following Yogendra Banger's book for the same.

Pls tell me what is the best way to study this subject...Normally i follow the note-making approach but for this subject I wonder if its possible ; given that my Exam is in Nov 2010 & that syllabus is huge. What is the best way to deal with such vast chapters?

I have seen many people getting good marks in the IDT paper. So I dont want to lose the chance...Also suggest if I need to buy another book.

Thanks....

Hi jeet You can easily prepare IDT while sitting at home. But you should refer good notes latest amendment,Cicrcular,Notification etc. You should try to cover all provisions or matter of any topic in sequence rather than refer bangar. Because in bangar you find the question and its solution like questions bank. Suppose you start reading Excise Act, you should start from basic provision to advance provisions in sequence so that you can corelate the different provisions if there is any corelation betwwn them. After completing chapter or topic you should refer that topic in bangar at last to learn the type of questions and presentation of its answer.

thanks shubhan sir & mythera............................................................................................................................................................................................................
