Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether a stipend is considered taxable income in the UK. The consensus is that stipends are generally taxable, either under 'Income from Other Sources' or the head 'Salary'. However, due to common income thresholds and available tax rebates, many individuals may not end up paying any tax on their stipend.

Taxable under Income from Other Sources as per normal slab rates.
Taxable under the head salary. But mostly it below 5Lacs . So rebate is available and there won't be any tax .
Taxable under other sources
