As far as I am concerned dont go for Padhukas book for Law and Audit..
It will be handy for only those who can Mug up..
Try Munish Bhandaris or MP vijayakumar's text.. And please refer module.. Because there are lot of practical examples in our module and usually these are asked in examinations as practical questions.
i will not suggest you to go for G sekar for audit instead took a good book of any teacher and then prepare.
Here is my some personal tips for preparing audit.
HOW TO PREPARE AUDIT IN LESS TIME
how to prepare SAs
i will suggest you to that not to learn or cram all SAs as it would be very difficult for you as they cover approx 80 pages.
get compiler and point out which SAs are more important and get a reading of them very carefully.
after getting a reading try to make very short note of them to remember only their headings.
these short notes are called mnemonics .
a example of mnemonics is given by me on SA -315 is at the last of this page.
now in exam just write down the heading and use your own language for answer on the basis of the reading that you have taken .
but not try the simple language try to introduce those words in your language which are mostly used in audit by this you will show the examiner that you have enough understanding of SAs.
for example the word appropriate is mostly used rather than relevant.
Any further query is welcomed ...
Hope you will like my advice.

Hi.. You can very well go for Padhuka book for IPCC Law.. I used it for my PE-2 and scored 70 marks. It is precise apt and comprehensive for exms because of the following reasons :
1) All areas of law are covered in a student friendly presentation pattern..
2) After reading a particular section, there are many practical questions based on that section given immediately thereafter and these practical questions cover all previous exam questions (so no need to buy and refer our institute's compilation or other books..)
3) It gives you confidence in all sections of law for sure..
Anyway, my humble suggestion is - You can read any book of your choice.. Get suggestions from others.. But decide on your own regarding the best book that suites you.. Because people suggesting books found it good for them which need not necessarily be good for you style of preparation... So make a final decision on your own. (May be get a copy of the book form your friends, browse it through, then decide). Good luck

See, i used it for Audit in PE-2, on that basis i will not suggest u that book bcoZ its very lengthy and student tend to do every question mentioned there.
while doing that book, as u can see it at any bookstore, very lengthy and heavy consisting of every type of questinos that can be made out of it when what is required is the important topics. but since every question is give in such format that students tend to read and learn every question of it when its actually require tactfulness as to what to leave and to do.
better refer some teacher's notes. it contiains important questions and the concepts in simple way.....!!!!!!!!!!

g shekar is best book for self study.. it covers almost every topic very deeply.. after this book u dont need to go for scanners etc.. but yes it is very lengthy to revise during exam.. so better makes notes for ready referencing or read surbhi bansal's notes for audit and handbook of munish bhandari at last time..
