Hi,

We are bills which attracks Service Tax, but Service Tax Charges by different parties were not uniform some of them were charging 2.58%,4%&10.3%. Is there any specified rates for different type of services or parties having the special exemption. Can any one please help me.

well the normal rate of service tax is 10.3%. but in certain services certain abatement is there. for example in case of transporters the abatement is 75%. please name out the services on which you have found this..
