Sale of mutual fund units is taxable
My friend is purchased mutual Funds units in 2007 then sale in 2013 is it taxable or not (hdfc Mutual fund)

If the units were equity based, then no tax liability; otherwise capital gain tax after indexation.
No ltcg on sale of equity oriented mutual fund STT paid.
