Month of Registration into CA Final = Sep 2008
Registration expired = Sep 2013
Got to revalidate my registration. I am confused whether a fee of 500/- is required or not.
As the notification says its free till 31/12/2013 but the Format which is to be submitted has a point for Demand Draft Details.

IN such a case you should contact your regional Branch by self visit,
If you contact via call they will ask you to pay the prescribed fee...
If someone has applied & undergone revalidation during 2013, kindly share his/her experience.
Actually, taking a days' leave from work only to go & learn the rule is not always possible. And calling the Regional Office rarely provides any result. If i know the procedure, I can go prepared and the matter can be settled in one day itself. Hope u understand.

No need to pay Rs.500/-. Just submit the form and keep the DD details blank. Your registration will be extended for 5 years from the date when you submit the form. You will receive a confirmation letter from the institute within a month from the date of submission of the form.
No need to pay Fees Mr.Biswas. I am also in the same category. I applied for revalidation without paying the Fees. And i got my Re-validation letter from the Institute. The Fees is applicable if you apply for revalidation after 31/12/2013. For Demand Draft details don't fill anything and keep it blank that is enough.
