Request for change/correction in pan data

I have filed for my client, request for change in PAN card. The same is showing online with below details:-

"Your request for 'New PAN card and/or Change/Correction in PAN Data' has been marked for audit by ITD and sent back to NSDL for examination"

What does this mean and what should I do next?

There may be some information which you filed in PAN correction form is not correct so it is send back to NSDL for check out, better to call in NSDL and you will short out this

ITD checks it's database using your Name, Date of Birth and Father's name.If you have applied for the first time there is no need to worry you will get a PAN once ITD verifies that the two people are different.

Hi, Im in the same situation right now. Can you let me know what exactly happened and how your pan correction got sorted
