In one the rental agreements I have found that the agreement contains the following line:
"The agreement is valid for following four years as mentioned below: 2007-08 ,2008-09, 2009-10,2010-11"
The franking on the agreement is done on the 10th July,2010.
Is it valid agreement???

Can the rent agreement be for more than 11 months and 29 days??
The agreement has to mention the effective date of commencement and validity of the agreement.
It cannot be the years and so this needs corretion to that extent.
Preferably the stamp paper has to be purchased on a date prior to the date of commencement of the agreement.
There is no bar on the tenure of the agreement.
