Reliance Communication demerger price

My father had received R Com shares after demerger of Reliance in 06/07. He gifted these shares to me. Currently R. Com is worth nothing. I want to sell this and book LTCL as the price is not likely to go up and may even get delisted.  But the problem is i am unable to find the what the cost price was when it got demerged. I am assuming the demerged price can be taken as cost price for LTCL.

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the challenge of determining the original demerged price for Reliance Communication (R Com) shares received as a gift. The original poster wishes to sell these shares to book a long-term capital loss (LTCL) but cannot locate the initial cost basis. They are considering using the demerged price as the cost basis but are encountering issues with historical pricing and the grandfathered price on 31st Jan 2018, which impacts the potential tax benefit.

Try yahoo finance and check out if historical data is available. It must be available

I figured out the price but the current grandfathered price on 31st Jan 2018 after the share price crash is more than the original price since my father bought Reliance in the 80s. So its almost no benefit in selling to book loss.
