I recently passed my IPCC both groups in May 2013 and currently pursuing articleship from JCSS Consulting.My CA Final Attempt is in May 2016 and I am going to get leave of 3 months+exam days for preparation.Kindly tell me by when should I start my preparation.As you may be knowing that the ca final syllabus would be changing since the introduction of new company law.Which subjects should be started of with..Awaiting your reply.
Hi, congrats for passing IPCC
There will be changes in indirect taxes and ISCA syllabus which will be applicable from Nov 2014 exams. The updated syllabus is already available in ICAI website. Regarding company law you can leave it for now and start reading other allied laws till ICAI brings the updated study material. You can start your preparation with practical subjects like AMA and SFM. Since your attempt is May 2016 you can keep yourself updated in the meantime through RTPs and supplementary study material. Our Institute study material published online contains the date of update and also changes in the current edition. Hence whatever books you intend to follow just keep track of the changes in syllabus till your exams. In this way you can prepare well for theory subjects too.

Most of the allied laws are self contained. I don't think there will be major changes in allied laws except to the extent the allied laws may refer to some provision in Companies Act. In any case the changes are detailed in the intial pages of ICAI study material published online for each subject.
