Write a letter to AO of your ward with 26AS statement  from NSDL website and proper documents of advance tax form 16 or self assessment tax with ITR zerox copy.

You need to prepare a proper reconciliation between ROI & Refund advice (It would be a reverse calculation in your case). Then you need to check the status of TDS credit and Advance Tax & Self Assessment Tax granted in form 26AS. Write a letter and state in the letter that what was the status of the tax payable and what you have actually paid.

I think, you major issue would be TDS, you have to then submit the TDS certifcates and advance tax and self assessment tax challans to the officer to claim refund.

Make Application u/s 154 and attach Form 26AS with it....
