For seeking rectification u/s 154 , when should one opt for filing rectification on "incometaxindia.gov.in" ??? and when it must be submitted to the wards with physical applications ??

If the income tax return is filed in electronic mode then rectification can be applied online. No need to submit documents at income tax office.
