Recommended detailed books for CA final accountancy

My recommendation is M P Vijay Kumar Sir Book because Key topics like consolidation, amalgamation and Valuation will be solved in a step by step and easy to understand approach. But I also say that there are some conflicts between the Study Material and M P Vijay Kumar Sir book in some areas. Hence, I recommend you to follow it along with the study material.

Well with regard to Parveen Sharma Sir's book, I recently purchased his book "Manual on Financial Reporting - Problems and Solutions". To be frank I am not satisfied with the book because it is the compilation of our Institute which is reprinted again (for some questions even examiner's comments are given as it is as it was there in sugested answers). Nothing more value additions are there in this book. So I would not recommend you to buy this book by spending Rs 800 (But I dont know about this book and purchased it online). The only merit of this book is that the past examination questions relating to AS are segregated Standard-wise. May be you can go for this book if you got his class room notes and got clear with his approach for solving questions

There are many other good books like

1) R L Gupta and M Radhaswamy (Its good for clearing concepts but does not cover all past examination and recent examination questions. Also the font and presentation style will not be much pleasing).

2) L Muralidharan SIr Book (This is the best book for Consolidation. Even better than M P Vijay Kumar Sir book for this topic and clears the concepts well for Accounting for Corporate Restructuring). You can go for this book for the above two topics. But now its hard to get this book even in Chennai, I purchased it from Asia Law House via online.

3) Padhukas (Contains variety of problems but does not clear concepts well)

So I recommend for M P Vijay Kumar Sir book along with Study Material (Dont ignore study material).  This recommendation is based on my experience and I have all these books and used the same for one topic or the other.

MPV book is too good. There is separate book for AS.. so u Can go for it.

& Is MP Vijay Kumar available for New Course?

Actually, I studied P.C. Tulsian in PCC & now want the same level of detail or even more than that in Final...so very much confused...

request for it to agarwal la w house , they will make it available for you  . if this doesnt work . buy it online from any kolakata based law house .

L Muralidharan SIr Book  is the best for all chapters, it is better than any other book

Easy to understand and concept oriented book.......

Can you please tell me how can I have a look at the pattern of coverage of this book before buying it online? & Can you please name any of the Kolkata based law house so that  I may find it on the web.

Dont get confused as time is very less for Nov.11 attempt.

Take DS Rawat for Accounting Standards and for rest only study material is enough.Nothing else !!!!!!!!!!

You need to pass now, research can be done later on.

hey neha here is good news for you . MP Vijay Kumar is now available in ITO , i saw the book just today .

look , for preparing full subject of financial reporting you will have to buy 3 books , 1 MP vijay kumar , 1 AS book ( DS rawat) & IFRS & shedule VI combined book .  this whole is package is available in ITO .

now no need to look for kolkata
