Interview is not only a platform to assess a candidate’s technical knowledge on the subject but also to identify mental capability in handling pressurizing situation.

The interviewer may try to pose very suffocating or bizarre questions, which may make you feel uneasy, that is a trick to make you nervous, in such situations, it is always better to keep yourself calm by taking a deep breath.

You must relax your mind and request the interviewer; to give you couple of minutes to think about the question, before answering it.

Hi Sucheta,

To be honest, am quite happy you weren't able to answer the questions. Suppose you did answer correctly and were given a job there, would you really be happy working under someone like that who laughed and created an insulting environment during your interview?
So, consider this as an escape from a bad job. Your time will come and am sure you'll excel in the right interview and you'll feel comfortable as well! Just continue to be confident and optimistic. Forget about this experience, prepare for your next interview and who knows, you might end up in a much better job! ;)

All the best.

Thank you satish for you suggestion

Thank you David. You are right i wont ever feel happy to work under such a senior. But i really felt very insulted that time coz even about our AS i felt blank in front of him.How could i?

Don't beat yourself up Sucheta. These things happen to everybody. I know it must make you feel embarassed and must've lowered your confidence. But, now, it's time to learn from this experience! Try finding someone who can act as an interviewer and ask you tough questions..! As you keep practicing, you'll learn how to tackle such interviews and your confidence will also improve.

Difficulties and hardships can feel like hard stones.. but when used properly, they become the stepping stones to success!

Thanks. Now i will always get myself updated with my knowledge and wont let anybody laugh at me
