Can you people please let me know whether name of proprietor under who a proprietorship is running can be changed? proprietorship is liable for service tax also. Explain the whole procedure please.

yes, name of proprietor can be changed but if proprietorship is registered under service tax, vat, etc. then it is not possible because the vat return, service tax return shall be file in the proprietership of that person
and also a proprieship is liable for service tax if its gross receipt exceed 10 lac (20 lac for 2013-14)
