Dear friends, please explain the statement.. "notwithstanding anything contained in any law/section ".. What does the above statement means?

It means over-riding the provisions of any other act. Matlab kisi aur act me agar kuchh alag likha hai to use nahi maneinge isi act me jo likha use hi maanana hai.

it means the given provisions overrides any available provisions of any other law or even current law.
