My friend has cleared his ca final exams in nov 2012 done gmcs training by feb 2013 . Now when should he apply for membership.If he pays rs 2000 now then in april he will have to pay rs 800 again .Should he wait for april to pay rs 2000 then.Will payment in feb help him to become fca by 2017 or these 2 months would not be taken as another yr.When can he become fca 2017 or 2018?Plz advise.

Regarding that FCA thing, he needs to be in whole-time practice for a continuous period of 5 years. Infact, even if you are in not in practice, if you fulfill few conditions, you may apply for FCA designation.
"An associate member serving in an industry for a continuous period of not less than 5 years in one or more posts carrying duties relating to accounts, cost accounts, audit, finance, taxation, company law and/or secretarial work, is eligible to become a fellow member."
